2011

2011 was a very eventful year and I loved every minute of it! We did a ton of school and work but got a lot of fun things in. We played lots of baseball went to tournaments, had amazing vacations, and my brother came home! With lots more in between!

So I married into a pretty AMAZING family! I love them so much. Plus I got some nieces and nephews out of the deal. They are THE CUTEST kids in the whole wide world and I am not bias one little bit. We had a great opportunity to fly out to Georgia and have all the family together. It was so much fun to see where the husband grew up and spend time with our family.
See what did I tell you cutest kids EVER! Plus did you see my gorgeous sister in law!

2010 Recap

So this recap thing has been really good for me, it has given me a chance to remember some really fun memories plus I love going through the pictures and reliving those memories! So 2010 was full of work and school. It was a year where I learned A LOT and Gus and I got really really close. In February of this year my dad was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. When my dad called to tell me I felt like someone had pulled the rug out from underneath me. I was devastated. Just a short time before this I lost my amazing cousin to a battle with cancer and that was all I could think about. This was my big strong daddy who never got sick, it completely shook my world. He had two surgeries and a radioactive iodine treatment to kill all the cells that could possibly carry the cancer. I remember sitting with my mom during the second surgery, both of us trying to keep each other occupied with something other than what was going on. For those of you who know my mom you know what a rock star she is. If I can be like anybody I want it to be my mom, she has such amazing faith and she held our family together. Both her and my dad had amazing faith and kept such a great attitude, and kept our family laughing. My poor brother had only been out in the field a few months when he found out, I know that the blessings that were given to us stemmed from his service. There were lots of prayers lots of fasts and I can say that my daddy is cancer free! It will be two years in Feb. and his scans continue to show good things. I will never forget the kindness, prayers and love that people showed to us during this time. Love is truly the greatest blessing we can receive. Gus and I had only been married for a short time when this happened and we grew really close together. He was my foundation, he held me when I cried, he took care of everything so I could be with my family, but most of all he gave when I couldn't give and loved me in a way that made me know that everything would be okay. He is my real prince charming. :)
My amazing family! Lets be honest could they be any cuter? I think not.
My AMAZING parents. Words cannot describe how much I love these two!
We got away in between semesters and went camping and hiking all through Mesa Verde. I highly recommend it!
We got to climb, hike and in many cases use scary ladders to get down to these ruins.

Celebrated our one year anniversary with my sweetheart! He made me breakfast in bed. He is just great like that!

Ate our gross cake and spent a great weekend together. It makes me mad I cant find any of those pictures.

Went to Eclipse with the amazing girls in my family.

Played baseball in Colorado and went to a Rockies game!

Spent time with friends.

Christmas!

My cousin married his wonderful wife!

Three generations!

I love this guy!

2009........ Continued

So I didn't include this in my 2009 recap because I felt like it deserved it own post. About six months after I was married my little brother left for his mission. When he opened his mission call and it said Zurich Switzerland we were all so excited. It was one of the hardest things to do, He has always been my best friend, we did everything together. Went shopping, to concerts, watched movies, and most of all talked about everything! The day he left I was so sad to leave him, but knew that it was the only place I wanted him to be. My mom and I couldn't go in his room for months without crying. It was super hard to have him gone but it was one of the most amazing experiences for him and us, The blessings we felt and saw were amazing!  I am so proud of my amazing little brother, hence his very own post! Now for pictures of the handsome man himself.

He got to serve in one of the most amazing areas! We loved getting his pictures.... lets me honest how ideal is this landscape.

MY AMAZING FRIEND!!!!!!!!

I am so lucky to surrounded by amazing people. One lady in particular Mindee Heaps is the type of friend that feels more like a sister. From the moment I met her we hit it off and became instant friends. She is such a great example of a friend, mommy, wife and all over amazing person. I told her I was starting to blog and had no idea what I was doing, she told me she would help me figure it all out. I told her I felt out of my league and that I could barely put a picture on this thing. She asked if she could look at my blog, showed me a bunch of cute backgrounds and I left feeling like okay I will just keep her on speed dial. She texted me that night and told me to look at my blog. She had stayed up late adding a background and doing all the things that I wanted. (See I told you she was an amazing friend) So this is my official shout out to Mindee! Thank you so much for taking the time to help a clueless blogger and for adding your wonderful touch to my blog I LOVE IT!!!!!

MAJOR CATCH UP!!!!!!

SOOOOO I want to do a major catch up of some of the fun things we have done in oh just the last two years!!!!! I want to keep these memories in one place so forgive the overload of pictures!!!!
I want to start with 2009.... I cant believe that I wrote that so crazy!
Sooo her goes nothin: 2009

We got engaged! It was perfect he surprised me, wrote me a book and made my dreams come true! I just pretty much love him forever!
We got married in the Salt Lake Temple with all of our friends and family. I could not have asked for a better day. I got to be sealed to my sweetheart forever! Nothing beats that.
Gus surprised me with an amazing honeymoon to JAMAICA!!!! We did an all inclusive resort so we didn't have to worry about anything, we just relaxed. It was just what I needed I had just finished planning a wedding, finishing a semester all while working full time. Plus I got to spend everyday with this guy... who is pretty darn great. :)
Our resort was gorgeous this is what I woke up to every morning.
See amazing huh?

A few months after we got married my amazing sister (she is not my biological sister but she has been apart of my life since i was ten) was married to her sweet husband.
We played a lot of baseball. I grew up with football, I am the only girl in my family so I spent a lot of time watching football and playing touch football with my dad and brothers in the back yard. There was really no escaping it especially with my dads job. I love football season and everything about it. Saturdays are for sports center and games. (don't worry I am a huge girly girl don't even ask the husband how many shoes are in my closet.) So when I married the husband baseball became a new passion, I love sitting at the games watching him play, traveling with the team, and especially the uniforms..... what can I say he is pretty darn cute!
See he is pretty cute huh?
Most of all we got to spend time together and lets be honest there isn't anything better than that!
