2010 Recap

So this recap thing has been really good for me, it has given me a chance to remember some really fun memories plus I love going through the pictures and reliving those memories! So 2010 was full of work and school. It was a year where I learned A LOT and Gus and I got really really close. In February of this year my dad was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. When my dad called to tell me I felt like someone had pulled the rug out from underneath me. I was devastated. Just a short time before this I lost my amazing cousin to a battle with cancer and that was all I could think about. This was my big strong daddy who never got sick, it completely shook my world. He had two surgeries and a radioactive iodine treatment to kill all the cells that could possibly carry the cancer. I remember sitting with my mom during the second surgery, both of us trying to keep each other occupied with something other than what was going on. For those of you who know my mom you know what a rock star she is. If I can be like anybody I want it to be my mom, she has such amazing faith and she held our family together. Both her and my dad had amazing faith and kept such a great attitude, and kept our family laughing. My poor brother had only been out in the field a few months when he found out, I know that the blessings that were given to us stemmed from his service. There were lots of prayers lots of fasts and I can say that my daddy is cancer free! It will be two years in Feb. and his scans continue to show good things. I will never forget the kindness, prayers and love that people showed to us during this time. Love is truly the greatest blessing we can receive. Gus and I had only been married for a short time when this happened and we grew really close together. He was my foundation, he held me when I cried, he took care of everything so I could be with my family, but most of all he gave when I couldn't give and loved me in a way that made me know that everything would be okay. He is my real prince charming. :)
My amazing family! Lets be honest could they be any cuter? I think not.
My AMAZING parents. Words cannot describe how much I love these two!
We got away in between semesters and went camping and hiking all through Mesa Verde. I highly recommend it!
We got to climb, hike and in many cases use scary ladders to get down to these ruins.

Celebrated our one year anniversary with my sweetheart! He made me breakfast in bed. He is just great like that!

Ate our gross cake and spent a great weekend together. It makes me mad I cant find any of those pictures.

Went to Eclipse with the amazing girls in my family.

Played baseball in Colorado and went to a Rockies game!

Spent time with friends.

Christmas!

My cousin married his wonderful wife!

Three generations!

I love this guy!
